Welcome!

 

My name is Steve!

I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Coach based in Guelph, Ontario.  I assist all sorts of athletes, from recreational to elite, to improve their physical and psychological capabilities to better their performance. 

Growing up I played a variety of sports, this was my favourite pastime!  However, I consistently found myself getting injured and missing time on the field, which is not ideal for any athlete.  Most importantly, I was missing out on what I loved to do.


I didn't have access to mentors, teachers or coaches to educate me on the importance of proper strength and conditioning training.  I know now, this would have helped me stay injury free, making my body more resilient and better able to handle the activities and sports I was participating in.  


After being in and out of physiotherapy clinics, I sought out how I could try to prevent myself from getting hurt in the first place! 

 
 
 
 

This led me down the path of studying

Health and Fitness Promotion at Humber College and eventually obtaining my degree in Kinesiology at University of Guelph-Humber.  During this time I also became a Canfitpro Certified Personal Trainer.  All of this combined not only increased my knowledge, it strengthened my passion to help people just like myself.

Over the years I have continued to expand my expertise around the importance of program design, nutrition, rest and recovery, periodization and the deeper aspects of health and wellness.  All of these areas can be fine tuned to achieve a client's goals.  

I’ve spent the past 10 years working with individuals with all sorts of varying goals from wanting to increase muscle mass, improve strength, enhance movement efficiency/mobility, overcome injury, and bust through plateaus in speed and sport performance. 

I love creating a path that helps individuals achieve their goals, whether big or small. 

I take it as a personal challenge to help clients unlock their limitless potential! 

It is about having the knowledge, strategic plan, consistency and accountability to continually strive towards a goal.
